The full floating bearing can make the shaft and sleeve float in the lubricating oil, forming two layers of oil film inside and outside, so the lubrication conditions and anti rotation vibration performance are better, and the work is more stable.
1.Do you want to replace the turbocharger immediately if you find oil leakage?
▊ No, if the appearance of a supercharger is in good condition, the rotor rotates flexibly, and the blades are not polished, then the supercharger itself is in good condition.
▊ reason: our turbocharger adopts full floating bearing, which is suspended on the oil surface during operation and can move left and right. The intake and exhaust pressures need to be balanced. If the imbalance leads to displacement, oil leakage will occur.
2.Solving oil leakage without changing turbocharger
▊ the engine air filter or intake pipe is blocked, resulting in excessive intake negative pressure;
▊ the oil return pipe of supercharger is collided or damaged, resulting in throttling of oil return pipe;
▊ carbon deposition in the intermediate oil cavity leads to poor oil return;
▊ whether there is air leakage in the connecting pipeline between the outlet of the compressor casing and the intake pipe of the engine;
▊ whether there is air leakage at the connection between the volute inlet ロ and the exhaust outlet ロ;
▊ idle time is too long;
▊ the oil pressure or oil level in the crankcase is too high, and the crankcase ventilation pipe is blocked;
▊ too much blowby under the engine.
Note: if the cause of oil leakage is found and eliminated in time, the turbocharger can be avoided from complete damage.
3.matters needing attention
A. don't start to work
When starting the excavator, it is necessary to ensure that it can idle for a long time until the oil pressure is stable before accelerating, so as to ensure that the bearing of the turbocharger can be fully lubricated to prevent the turbocharger from wearing.
B.Don't shut down the engine
When the engine is shut down, it is best to run at idle speed for 5-10 minutes, especially for the diesel engine with turbocharging, because the turbine speed is very fast at this time, which can reach more than 100000 revolutions per minute. The engine stalls immediately and the oil pump stops working. However, the turbine is still running at high speed due to inertia and high temperature, and the turbine shaft lacks or does not have oil lubrication and cooling, In the long run, the turbine shaft will be damaged prematurely. So it should idle for a while, wait for the temperature to drop down and then turn off.
C.Avoid blocking EGR cooler (exhaust gas circulation cooling pipe)
Once the EGR cooler (exhaust gas circulating cooling pipe) is blocked, the amount of exhaust gas entering the turbocharger will increase, and the impeller speed will increase. If the safe speed of the turbine is exceeded for a long time, the service life of the turbocharger will be shortened.
D.Avoid using inferior air filter
Because the inferior air filter has poor ability to filter impurities, such as impurities in the air entering the turbocharger will cause blade damage and increase the damage probability of the turbocharger. If the working environment is harsh and the dust is relatively large, the air filter element needs to be cleaned frequently to avoid the deposition of debris, and replaced regularly.
E.Do not use inferior or other specification oil
The engine oil specification shall be in strict accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations
It is recommended to use high-quality oil, poor oil lubrication and cleaning ability is not good, which is easy to block the oil pipe and lead to the oil hose crack damage.
F.Avoid oil leakage
It is suggested that the oil pipeline should be checked frequently for any leakage. If there is any leakage, the bearing of turbocharger will be damaged due to poor lubrication.
