high-power shunting diesel locomotive operation, for the China-Laos railway

Because of the large ramp and small radius of curvature of railway line, the speed

of locomotive is low in traction or propulsion operation, and in sliding and shifting

operation, the load of train changes greatly. The locomotive often starts at full load

offset the inertia momentum of the train. The load often fluctuates greatly and changes

rapidly. The harsh environment has brought great challenges to the long-term and
