After the turbine enters high speed, if it suddenly stalls, the turbine will still maintain ultra high speed operation for a period of time under the action of inertia. During this period, due to the engine having stopped running, the lubrication system will also stop working, so the lubricating oil used cannot circulate in the turbine bearings in a timely manner, resulting in poor heat dissipation of the bearings, local high temperatures, and easy damage to the bearings. After the bearing is damaged, only the entire turbocharger can be replaced.

Therefore, most cases of turbocharger replacement are caused by improper operation, rather than the reason why the turbocharger needs to be replaced.

The correct operating method should be to stop at high speed and high load after a long distance without immediately ceasing fire. Instead, stop and idle for a few minutes, and wait for the turbine speed to decrease before turning off the engine. In addition, there are several key points for the maintenance of turbochargers: maintaining cleanliness, paying attention to hot vehicles, regularly checking vehicle conditions, and being careful to turn off the engine.
