Turbocharger includes turbine casing, compressor casing, middle valve housing, turbine, pump wheel, floating bearing, exhaust bypass valve, actuator, etc. The turbine and pump wheel are assembled on the same shaft, and are respectively installed in the turbine housing and compression housing through two floating bearings. There are oil passages for lubricating and cooling bearings in the intermediate body, as well as sealing devices to prevent oil from leaking into the compressor or turbine.

The turbine impeller, compressor impeller, seal sleeve and other parts are installed on the turbocharger shaft to form the turbocharger rotor. The exhaust gas pressure from the exhaust manifold makes the turbine rotate at a high speed, and the pump wheel on the same axis rotates with it to put the inlet air into the cylinder. The rotor becomes hot and rotates at high speed due to the impact of exhaust directly, so it must be heat-resistant and wear resistant, that is, the turbine is made of super heat-resistant alloy or ceramic.

The structure of turbocharger bearing is one of the keys to the reliability of vehicle turbocharger. Modern vehicle turbochargers all use floating bearings. The floating bearing is actually a ring sleeved on the shaft. There are gaps between the ring and the shaft as well as between the ring and the bearing seat, forming a double-layer oil film, that is, the ring floats between the shaft and the bearing seat. When the supercharger works, the floating bearing rotates between the shaft and the bearing seat.

The supercharger generates axial thrust during operation, which is borne by the thrust bearing set at one side of the compressor. In order to reduce friction, four oil distribution grooves are respectively processed on the thrust surfaces at both ends of the integral thrust bearing; The bearing is also provided with an oil inlet hole to ensure the lubrication and cooling of the thrust surface.
