The current turbocharging technology has been relatively mature, so the service life of the turbocharger has also been greatly extended. Under normal working conditions, it can ensure that the vehicle can travel 200000 to 300000 kilometers, so consumers do not need to worry about the turbocharger.

In order to prolong the service life of the turbocharger, three things should be done.

First, due to the high temperature and special structure of the turbocharger in use, there are special requirements for oil selection. The oil used in the maintenance of ordinary gasoline engine models cannot meet the operating requirements of turbocharged models. Therefore, special engine oil for turbocharged vehicles must be used during maintenance.

Second, after the engine is started, especially in winter, it should be allowed to idle for a period of time, so that the bearing can be fully lubricated by lubricating oil before the supercharger rotor runs at high speed. The accelerator shall not be slammed after start-up to prevent damage to the supercharger oil seal. After the engine runs under heavy load for a long time, it should run at idle speed for 3~5 minutes before stalling to let the speed of the supercharger rotor drop before stalling. In particular, it is necessary to prevent sudden stalling after stepping on the accelerator.

Third, as the turbocharging system of "T" car does not play a significant role in many cases when driving on urban roads, long-term traffic jams may cause carbon deposition. Too much carbon will not only affect the engine operation, but also easily endanger the turbocharging system. It is recommended that car owners remove carbon deposits for vehicles during maintenance of 20000~30000 km.
